In the bustling healthcare landscape of Dhaka, Aiyaat Medical Diagnostic Center stands out as a beacon of modern medical service. Located in a busy urban zone, this facility was designed to offer not just accurate diagnostics—but a calming, efficient, and patient-friendly environment.
Project Overview
- Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Client: Aiyaat Medical Diagnostic Center
- Area: 3,200 sq. ft.
- Design Firm: P.S. Solution
Design Objectives
The goal was to create a space that supports both high-performance medical diagnostics and emotional well-being. We focused on:
- Streamlining patient flow
- Enhancing staff productivity
- Creating a welcoming ambiance for patients and families
Functional Layout
- Reception & Waiting Area: A spacious, well-lit zone with ergonomic seating, digital check-in kiosks, and calming color tones to reduce anxiety.
- Consultation Rooms: Soundproofed and equipped with modern furnishings for privacy and comfort.
- Lab & Imaging Zones: Designed with hygiene and efficiency in mind—featuring anti-bacterial surfaces, optimized lighting, and clear zoning for different tests (e.g., X-ray, ultrasound, blood work).
- Staff Lounge & Admin Zone: Separate from patient areas to ensure focus and relaxation for medical personnel.
Materials & Mood
We used medical-grade vinyl flooring, antimicrobial wall panels, and soft LED lighting. The color palette includes whites, soft blues, and greens—chosen for their calming psychological effects.
Design Challenges
- Space Optimization: We had to accommodate multiple diagnostic functions within a limited footprint. Modular furniture and vertical storage helped maximize usability.
- Patient Comfort: Acoustic insulation and natural light were key to reducing stress and improving the overall experience.
Final Impression
Aiyaat Medical Diagnostic Center is more than a diagnostic lab—it’s a thoughtfully designed healthcare environment where precision meets compassion. Every detail, from the reception desk to the MRI suite, reflects a commitment to patient-centered care.
