Tucked into a vibrant corner of Dhaka, Almas Restaurant is more than a dining destination—it’s an immersive experience where design and flavor come together in perfect harmony. This 2,400 sq. ft. space was transformed into a modern, inviting eatery that reflects the restaurant’s passion for authentic cuisine and warm hospitality.

Design Vision
The goal was to create a space that feels upscale yet approachable—ideal for both casual diners and special occasions. The design draws inspiration from Middle Eastern and South Asian motifs, reinterpreted through a modern lens.
Interior Highlights
- Entrance & Reception: A bold arched entryway with brass accents and mosaic tiles sets the tone for the experience inside.
- Dining Hall: Divided into intimate zones using wooden screens and pendant lighting. Earthy tones, textured walls, and upholstered seating create a cozy yet elegant atmosphere.
- Private Dining Nook: A semi-enclosed space with velvet drapes and ambient lighting, perfect for family gatherings or business dinners.
- Open Kitchen Window: Adds transparency and energy, allowing guests to witness the culinary craft in action.
Materials & Palette
We used a mix of terracotta tiles, matte black metal, and reclaimed wood. The color scheme includes warm neutrals, deep greens, and gold accents—evoking richness without overwhelming the senses.
Functional Design
- Acoustics: Acoustic panels and soft furnishings help maintain a pleasant noise level even during peak hours.
- Lighting: A layered lighting plan with dimmable fixtures adapts to different times of day and moods.
- Flow: The layout ensures smooth circulation for both guests and staff, with clear zoning for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery operations.
Final Impression
Almas Restaurant is a celebration of taste, texture, and togetherness. Every design element—from the handcrafted wall art to the custom furniture—was chosen to enhance the dining experience and reflect the brand’s identity.
