Design Intent
The family wanted a home that could accommodate both shared and private moments. Our design approach focused on creating distinct zones for relaxation, entertainment, and work—while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic throughout the duplex.
Layout Highlights
- Ground Floor: Features a spacious living room with double-height ceilings, a formal dining area, and a guest bedroom. Natural stone accents and warm lighting set a welcoming tone.
- Upper Floor: Houses the master suite, children’s bedrooms, and a family lounge. Each room is tailored to its occupant, with custom furniture and color palettes.
- Staircase Feature: A floating staircase with glass railing acts as a sculptural centerpiece, connecting the two levels seamlessly.
Materials & Accents
We used a mix of teak wood, brushed metal, and textured wallpapers to add depth and character. Statement lighting fixtures and curated art pieces elevate the ambiance.
Design Solutions
- Zoning: Acoustic panels and sliding partitions help define spaces without compromising openness.
- Storage: Built-in cabinetry under the stairs and wall-mounted units maximize usable space.
- Lighting: Skylights and layered lighting create a dynamic environment that shifts with the time of day.
Final Impression
This Nandipara duplex is more than a home—it’s a vertical sanctuary designed for connection, comfort, and timeless style. Every detail reflects the family’s values and aspirations, making it a true reflection of modern Dhaka living.
