Design Reveal: Spice and Chill, Wari
Welcome to Spice and Chill—a sensory escape where bold flavors meet bold design. We had the pleasure of crafting the interiors of this vibrant new restaurant in Wari, and every detail was curated to reflect its name, mood, and culinary soul.
Interior Concept:
Inspired by the duality of spice and serenity, we layered warm earthy tones—paprika, turmeric, cinnamon—with cool accents like slate blue and soft grey. The result? A space that feels both energizing and soothing.
Design Highlights:
- Spice-Inspired Murals: Hand-painted wall art captures the vibrancy of local spice bazaars, adding storytelling and color to the space.
- Mood Lighting: Custom pendant lights cast a chill-blue glow, balancing warmth with calm.
- Material Mix: Reclaimed wood, brushed steel, and terracotta textures create a tactile, grounded atmosphere.
- Green Touches: Hanging herbs and potted spices bring freshness and a hint of biophilia.
- Textured Walls: Exposed brick and spice-toned tiles add depth and character.
- Reflective Accents: Antique-framed mirrors expand the space and reflect ambient light.
- Zoned Flooring: Terracotta tiles in dining areas and wood in lounge zones subtly guide flow.
- Scented Ambience: Subtle spice aromas like clove and cardamom enhance the sensory experience.
Spatial Flow:
We designed the layout to encourage movement and connection. Booths offer privacy, communal tables invite conversation, and acoustic panels ensure a relaxed dining vibe.
Spice and Chill is now open in Wari—serving up flavor in a space that’s as thoughtfully designed as the dishes themselves.
